Vermont Releases Final Rules on Paid Sick Leave and Required Poster

This past legislative session, Vermont passed a paid sick leave law, which is generally effective on January 1, 2017, with exceptions for new employers as well as employers with 5 or fewer employees.

This past October the Department of Labor released proposed rules, and held 4 meetings across the state to inform businesses about these new rules and requirements. They also requested comments on the proposed rules.
