A Forbes article that I caught from a LinkeIn group today is entitled “ The 9 Hottest Trends in HR Technology … And Many Are Disruptive ”, Bersin, Josh, 10/21/2013. So, what are the 9 items:

  1. The convergence of talent management and ERP.

  2. User experience is the new battleground.

  3. “Taps Replace Clicks” – Mobile is “the” platform, not “a’ platform.

  4. Big data talent analytics have arrived.

  5. Hr vendor-provided middleware is becoming standard.

  6. Evolving assessment science and bigdata is changing the way we source.

  7. MOOC’s and new learning modalities.

  8. Video and social everywhere.

  9. Watch for wearable computing and the Internet of things.

I don’t know what you think, but this article written a little while ago in late 2013 already seems to be made up of some common knowledge.  How much of this do you think you didn’t seem too surprised about?  In fact, how much of it are you working on right now?  We see these trends and are ready to talk to you about them if you want.  Let me know.  We don’t want these trends to create too much disruption.
